And now on to the News

+++Blue Waves -Ocean Window Party in Zurich, Switzerland will be on September 23, 2011. It is turning out to be a tradition and for us time to see all of our fantastic guests and friends once again at a single location. This time it won't be in the beginning of September but rather at the end on the 23 starting 6pm. The location is as usual at the Waldhaus next to the public pool in Oberengstringen. Details and invitation will follow soon – just mark the date!

+++Tiger is back!
Good news to all who know and remember our seaman Tiger. He was with us since day one and in a way being so young, he grew up on board. Well, he left us for awhile to discover how life is on land and is now back with us on board. Tiger missed life on Blue Waves and the life at sea. We are glad to have him back and welcome him back on board.

+++The situation in Egypt and our booking status
The tourist industry has really fell behind on sending tourist to the Red Sea and though we feel it too, we are glad sometimes to not be out diving on a crowded sea. At the moment the sea is still experiencing the change of Spring to Summer and all the morays are out underway searching mates and nesting grounds. The water is a bit colder than usual; only 25°C. This keeps the sharks up in the sport diving range and not always fleeing in the deep to avoid the heat.

Seriously, we hope that the guest situation will change soon because this year we have many tours with open places.

To state a few facts: The political situation influences in no part the tourism and diving industry and it is as in the past still very safe and wonderful on the Red Sea. The tourists are welcome and will not even recognize the past turmoil that the country, mostly only in Cairo, has experienced.
